Announcing the Woman’s National Ice Hockey Team 2016/17

Get ready for another great season for the Singapore National Woman’s Ice Hockey Team! After the third place finish at the 2016 IIHF Women’s Challenge Cup of Asia Division 1 tournament in Taipei, the girls are ready for a big year on the ice.

Head coach Michael Loh and assistant coach Eugene Ang have selected the team based on the women’s performances through their past months’ trainings. “We are really excited about the program and roster and are happy to have a few new faces with us this year. We look forward to competing at a high-level and to meeting a new round of hockey and personal goals”.

The highlight of the calendar is the IIHF Women’s Challenge Cup of Asia Division 1 tournament, 6-16 March 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. The participating teams are Thailand, Malaysia, India, UAE, New Zealand and Philippines. In preparation for this tournament, the girls are to participate in trainings from Sundays through Fridays with variation in competitive games, on ice trainings and off ice trainings.
