Singapore Ice Hockey Association reaches out

The Singapore Ice Hockey Association has reached out to children from low-income families.

Singapore Ice Hockey Association held a community outreach programme targeted at low-income families in Nee Soon East CSC. Twenty children aged between 7-12 years old attended an ice-hockey try-out at The Rink on 29th June, Sunday.

Minister of Parliament for Nee Soon East CSC, Mr Patrick Tay, was also present at the event. Mr Tay presented Level 1 Coaching certificates to our coaches during the event and even joined in on the action with the kids on the ice.

All in all, the event ended on a high note. The children enjoyed themselves, as it was their first time on the ice and Mr Tay learned more about SIHA and its initiatives to raise awareness for ice hockey in Singapore.
