Ice Dragons is Singapore’s youth hockey program. Previously a separate entity, Ice Dragons was integrated into SIHA in May 2016, creating a unified adult and youth ice program in Singapore.

The Ice Dragons community was started in the 1990s by a group of dedicated hockey Dads. It progressed to a formalised league with practises and games from 2003. Ice Dragons now consist of over 150 boys and girls ranging from ages 5 to 16, with a vibrant mix of local Singaporean and expats kids all with a huge love of the game. The future of Singapore ice hockey is germinating in the Ice Dragons organization. Indeed, a number of Ice Dragons have progressed to globally recognized ice hockey programs in North America and Asia.

Ice Dragons consists of four divisions based on the following standard global age groups:

Atoms: 5-8

Squirts: 9-10

PeeWee: 11-12

Majors: 13-16

Atoms have weekly practise sessions only. Squirts, PeeWees and Majors have one practise session and one game each week. There are two seasons per year, Season 1 (Aug to Dec) and Season 2 (Jan to April). Kids are required to wear full equipment.

Ice Dragons teams compete in tournaments in Hong kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and other locations. Additionally, the Ice Dragons Classic, Singapore’s annual showcase of regional youth ice hockey is widely recognised as one of the leading tournaments of its kind in Asia.
