The Singapore Ice Dragons have been developing youth ice hockey players for many years. Starting with the FUNdamentals and nurturing a love for the sport, the Singapore Ice Hockey Association hopes to develop lifelong ice hockey players.

The Singapore Ice Dragons follow the American Development Model (ADM), however aim to combine best practices from youth sport programs around the world. As a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), coaches are able to draw on the resources extended to the SIHA to grow ice hockey in Singapore.

2017/18 Season
The Singapore Ice Dragons Youth Program has two terms within its season.

Term 1: August 28 – December 14, 2017
Term 2: January 7 – April 26, 2018

2017/18 Divisions
The Singapore Ice Dragons make every effort to follow the international standards for ice hockey divisions, however as a growing program with limited ice access, we look to maximise our resources.

DOB: 2009 and younger
Head Coach: Ian Douglas
Practice: Sundays at 8:15am & Thursdays at 5:15pm

DOB: 2007-2008
Head Coach: Ian Douglas
Practice: Thursdays at 6:15pm
Games: Mondays 5:15pm

DOB: 2005-2006
Head Coach: John Parker
Practice: Thursdays at 7:30pm
Games: Mondays 6:15 & 7:30pm

DOB: 2004 and older
Head Coach: Michael Lambert
Practice: Thursdays at 8:30pm
Games: Mondays 8:30pm

The above divisions are guidelines. Players may be placed in an alternative division based on experience and ability. Player placements are determined by the Head Coaches and SIHA Director of Youth Development.

The Singapore Ice Dragons participate in tournaments throughout the season. Frequented tournaments include the Malaysia Invitational Ice Hockey Tournament, Hong Kong Mega 5s, and the Bangkok Fly Tournament, to name a few. Additionally, the Scotiabank Ice Dragons Classic, Singapore’s annual showcase of regional youth ice hockey is widely recognised as one of the leading tournaments of its kind in Asia.
