Dear Members,
It has been brought to our attention that there have been repeated violation to SIHA’s Safe Sport Plan. Members have been caught organising 5v5 shinny sessions during ice time booked through SIHA
SportSG has sternly cautioned us to remind our members:
- For organised sessions and such event series will be suspended and organisers will be taken to task
- For club activities where 2 clubs are playing against each other, all participants on both teams will be fined, and organisers will bear a heftier fine.
- Foreigners who are involved, they risk the consequences of non-compliance with SG Safety Measures (i.e. revocation of work pass/residency)
Please be reminded that our Safe Return to Sport Plan is not a suggestion and cannot be changed with respect to total group number of 8 pax or the intermingling of those groups.
It is particularly concerning that we are receiving reports of violations when CCTV or mobile phone footage could swiftly bring the aforementioned penalties
SIHA takes a very serious approach in complying with the instructions of SportSG because of the potentially disastrous repercussions for our members.
We would consider these outcomes tragic for our members and therefore cannot hesitate to report violators to the relevant authorities for the greater good of the community and fiduciary duty of the ExCo
