Winter league 2014 registration and info

Registration for Winter League 2014 is now OPEN! Game times have been moved earlier for Division 2 and Division 3 with no more midnight games for most of the season!! Division 1 plays a Sunday game so bring your family along for the games and a team gets to play twice a week!!

Games will be on the following nights:

Division 1 – Thursday nights – First game at 9.45pm, Second game at 10.45pm
 Sunday nights – One game at either 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 9.30pm or 10.30pm (refer to schedule)

 During School holiday weeks – First game at 9.45pm, Second game at 10.45pm, Third game at 11.45pm
 (School holidays for 5 weeks – 4 weeks in Nov/Dec and 1 week in Mar)

Rules and Regulations
IIHF playing rules with new IIHF hybrid icing rule.

Division 1 – 5 Teams (4 draft teams and 1 Singapore National Team)
Division 2 – 6 Teams (All draft teams)
Division 3 – 6 Teams (5 draft teams and 1 Ice Dragons Youth Team)
Double Elimination playoffs

League Fee
 
League fees are $800 for 24 +1(finals) ice sessions for each division, including playoffs, from 28th September ’14 to 19th April ’15.
That’s $100 more from last year’s winter league but playing an hour earlier for Division 2 and Division 3!! Division 1 gets a Sunday game to bring the family down and a team gets to play twice a week!!


Uniforms

Winter league jerseys and socks will be issued to all participants but will need to be returned to the team managers at the end of winter league or when a participant leaves the league.

Registration requirements
 
Only Adult registered SIHA Members are allowed to register for winter league. Minimum age for winter league registration is 18 years old. Players under 18 may play in the winter league pending SIHA Committee approval and parental consent. Youth players who wish to play in the winter league will need to sign up as and Adult member.

The shinny schedule for players new to the league is posted below and league game schedule will be posted on our website (www.siha.org.sg) before draft day on 21st September.

For players new to the league, please bring a light and a dark colored jersey to the shinny sessions.

You must be registered and paid for both Adult SIHA membership and NIHL Winter League to get on the ice for the shinny sessions.
