The Singapore Ice Hockey Association (SIHA) would like to invite you to the open tryouts for the National Team Development Program (NTDP). This program will run from 28 August to 25 September 2016, with on-ice practices every Sunday at 9.45pm. These tryouts are open to all Singapore Citizens (holding valid Singapore passports) between the ages of 15 and 47 (as of 1 January 2016).

NTDP aims to select thirty (30) players of each gender to represent SIHA and Team Singapore in regional and international tournaments in Year 2017 and Year 2018. Of these shortlisted players, around 20 players will be selected for each tournament, based on performance and availability. Selection crtieria will be briefed to all participants at the first season.

This year, the program will cost each player S$20.00 per 1-hour on-ice training session, payable on a monthly basis. Estimated costs per player for the year-long NTDP will be as follows:

The Management Committee is actively seeking sponsorship to cover tournament costs for the Teams. If you have any contacts with organizations or individuals who may be keen to sponsor, please do let us know.

All players must be a Full Member of SIHA, and full IIHF-approved equipment is required to participate in training. NTDP is a checking program, and players must be in good physical condition. SIHA reserves the right to request for medical reports (at cost to the player), and to turn away players who are deemed unfit to participate.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The first session will be held on 28 August 2016, Sunday at 8.30pm at The Rink, JCube. All players are expected to attending the briefing at 8.30pm, where you can expect to complete and submit some paperwork before training. Kindly do bring along your NRIC/BC, Passport and a ball point pen.
