Welcome to the upcoming NIHL Winter League of adult ice hockey in Singapore. Registration is a two-step process, as follows:
Step 1: Complete SIHA Annual Membership 2018/19
Have you completed your SIHA annual membership? It must be done before you can register for Winter League 2018/19.
– If your SIHA membership is already completed, proceed now to Step 2 below
– If you have not yet completed, you must finish your SIHA annual membership first here, then come back to Step 2 below.
Step 2: Register for NIHL Winter League 2018/19
1. Fees
Regular season fees cover all games (19 games including playoffs and an additional finals game for the top two playoff teams in each division) from September 2018 to March 2019.
– Player : $680
– Goalie : $340
2. Schedule & Format
The Winter League runs from 23 September 2018 to 31 March 2019.
– 16 regular season games
– 3 guaranteed playoff games
– 1 final game for playoff winners
Division 1
– Thursdays, games at 9:45pm & 10:45pm
– Four teams
Division 2
– Sundays, 7:30pm & 8:30pm
– Five teams (new); each team will play four Sundays in a row, then not have a game the following week
Division 3
– Mondays, 9:45pm & 10:45pm
– Five teams (new); schedule format is the same as Div2
Why five teams in Divisions 2 & 3 in 2018/19? It was decided that there is a need to:
1) better balance competition
2) remove 11:45 games on Sundays
3) shift D3 back to Mondays

3. New Player Tryouts
New players are invited to join a try-out shinny session to evaluate their skill level for placement in the appropriate division. If you are new to Singapore we highly recommend you come and skate.
Shinny session is on Thursday, 20th September 2018 as follows:
– Divs 2&3: 9:45pm
– Div2 1&2:10:45pm
4. Draft
A draft will be held Saturday Sept 22 at Blooie’s Roadhouse, Rail Mall, 426/428 Upper Bukit Timah Road S(678053) from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. The draft results will be shared publicly the next day. Check www.siha.org.sg and the SIHA social media feeds for more details.
5. Rosters
After the draft a Team Manager (TM) will contact you by email with details on your division and team.
6. Schedule
Will be available on SIHA website, Facebook, and from your team manager
7. Age Minimum
For Winter League minimum age for players is 18 years old. Youth players under 18 may play in the Winter League pending SIHA Executive Committee approval and parental consent. Youth players will be registered and pay fees as adult players.
8. Rules and Regulations
The Winter League 2018/2019 abides by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) rules and regulations. More information on the IIHF rules and regulations can be found here.
