SG-Coaching Ice Hockey Community Certification Program
We are happy to announce that SIHA will be running the Community Coaching Certification Program as a pilot program in collaboration with SportSG. The program features an integrated track that includes Value & Principles Certification, Safe Sport Certification, and the SG-Coaching Ice Hockey Community Coaching Certification. Upon completion, certified coaches are able to coach in all SIHA programs, as well as the Learn to Skate (Advanced) Ice Hockey program organised by The Rink.

Skill Competencies |
Able to perform ice-skating skills in ice hockey skates: – Forward / backward skating – Forward / backward cross-over (both left and right) – Forward / backward hockey stop (both left and right) – Single leg balance (both left and right) – Forward / backward transition (both left and right)
Able to perform ice hockey skills in ice hockey skates: – Dribble hockey puck while moving forward/backward movement, crossover & transition – Pass the hockey puck while moving (fore/backhand) – Fundamental shots: Wrist, Snap, Slap & Backhand |

– Completed all e-learning on SportSG-ED (required an ActiveSG account to login) – Valid CPR-AED and First Aid Certification (Community CoachSG Certification will only be issued with Valid CPR-AED and First Aid Certification) |
