The Singapore Ice Hockey Association in conjunction with the Rink is pleased to announce the commencement of the hockey Learn-to-Play program on 30 March 2014.
Catered for youths from the age of 6, this program is designed to introduce skaters to the sport of ice hockey. Basic skating competency is required for this program, and the requirements to join the course is the completion of the Rink’s Core 1 – 4 Learn-to-Skate classes.
The course will be taught by qualified NROC Level One accredited coaches certified by the Singapore Sports Council. All of the coaches have prior hockey experience; some have coached for over 30 years while others even represented the country. With the wealth of experience brought to the table by SIHA and the Rink, participants can expect the best learning experience possible.
Every piece of gear required for hockey will be provided for this program, however, sizes are limited; the gear that SIHA provides will fit participants up to a height of 165 cm, or 5’5”. Gear will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis, so to ensure the best experience possible for the course, sign up quickly!
